    Biography

    Finneas O'Connell (born on July 30, 1997), also known mononymously as FINNEAS,[2] is an American singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor. He has released several singles and has written music for other artists, including his sister Billie Eilish. As an actor, O'Connell starred as Shane in the independent film Life Inside Out (2013).[3] He is also known for his role as Alistair in the Fox TV series Glee.[4] In 2011, he portrayed Spencer in the film Bad Teacher. He also had a recurring role on ABC's Modern Family[4] and appeared in two episodes of Aquarius.[5]

    Finneas was born to parents Maggie Baird, an actress, and Patrick O'Connell and has mainly Irish and Scottish ancestry.[6] He portrayed Alistar in the final season of the musical-comedy television show Glee in 2015. His sister is singer Billie Eilish, for whom he co-writes and produces music. O'Connell grew up in Los Angeles, and began writing and producing songs at the age of 12.[7] He is the lead singer and songwriter of the band The Slightlys, which has won awards and competitions in the Los Angeles area.[8] He co-wrote and produced sister Billie Eilish's debut EP Don't Smile at Me which peaked at 14 on the US Billboard 200.[9][10] O'Connell served as producer and the only other songwriter on Billie Eilish's debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which debuted at #1 in the US and UK charts.[11]

    Finneas' first single, "New Girl", was released in 2016[12]. The music video to the single was released in 2019, was directed by Emma Sydney Menzies, and stars Finneas and Yasmine Vega[13]. He released second single, "I'm in Love Without You" in 2017, and proceeded to release eight singles in 2018, "Break My Heart Again", "Heaven", "Life Moves On", "Landmine", "Hollywood Forever", "College", "Luck Pusher", and "Let's Fall in Love for the Night". At the start of 2019, Finneas played his first, sold-out, headline shows in New York[14] and Los Angeles[15].

    Finneas is dating YouTuber Claudia Sulewski.[16] Finneas released "Claudia", his latest single, written partly after the first night they met.[17]
